Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
This explains what Fat Wallet Sales LLC collects about you, why, and what you can do about it. We wrote it in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it.
1. What we collect
- Details you give us: name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), time zone and location preference, the tracks and niches you want, resume or CV, video links such as a Loom or intro video, and the written pitch attached to your applications.
- Employer details: if you post a role, the company name, website, your name, your contact email, and any candidate contact route you choose to share.
- Application history: which roles you applied to, when, what we sent, employer replies, interview and outcome status, and the notes attached to an application.
- Account and usage data: sign-in records, pages viewed, saved searches, clicks on listings and buttons, emails opened or clicked, page speed measurements, and error reports.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and referring page, collected automatically when you visit.
2. Why we use it
- To match you to roles and rank the board for you.
- To send applications and follow-up messages to employers on your behalf, when you ask us to by pressing Apply or approving a match.
- To notify you about replies, matches, interviews and account activity by email and in-app.
- To operate, secure and improve the service, measure which pages work, and fix things that break.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations, and to enforce our terms.
3. Who we share it with
- Employers you apply to. This is the point of the product: your resume, video link, pitch and contact details go to the employer for each role you apply to or approve. We do not send your materials to employers you have not applied to.
- Service providers who run parts of the service for us: website and application hosting, database, email delivery, video hosting, and error and performance monitoring. They may only use your data to provide those services to us.
- Advertising and measurement: our site includes the Meta (Facebook) pixel, which tells Meta that a page on our site was viewed and is used for advertising measurement and audiences. See the cookies section below.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or public safety.
- A successor if the business is sold or merged, under the same commitments as this policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade your resume or contact details to recruiters, data brokers or list buyers.
4. Emails and text messages
We send transactional emails (application updates, employer replies, account notices) and, if you opt in, digests and marketing emails. Every one of our emails carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also manage which notifications you receive in your profile settings. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential account and application messages while your account is open.
We do not currently send SMS text messages. If and when SMS notifications launch, they will be opt-in through your profile settings only, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to cancel or HELP for help.
5. Cookies, analytics and tracking
Here is exactly what runs on this site:
- Sign-in storage: your login session is stored in your browser so you stay signed in. Required for member areas.
- Preference storage: small values kept in your browser for things like reduced motion, saved searches, and dismissed banners.
- Reader personalization: if you accept the on-site banner, we keep an anonymous reader id so the Insights section can recommend articles. Decline and we do not set it.
- First-party product analytics: we record page views, clicks on application buttons, and page speed measurements on our own servers to see what works and what is slow.
- Meta (Facebook) pixel: loads on all pages and reports page views to Meta for advertising measurement and audience building. You can limit this through your Meta ad settings and your browser or device tracking controls.
We do not use Google Analytics. You can block or clear cookies in your browser, though some parts of the members area will not work without sign-in storage.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and profile data: while your account is open, and up to 24 months after it closes, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Application and message history: up to 24 months, so you and we can see what was sent to whom.
- Email delivery logs and suppression records: kept as long as needed to honour unsubscribes and prevent sending to addresses that bounced.
- Usage and analytics events: typically up to 24 months in identifiable form, then aggregated.
- Records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons: for the period the law requires.
7. How we protect it
Data is stored with reputable hosting and database providers, encrypted in transit, and access is limited to the people who need it to run the service. Member data is protected by row-level access rules so one student cannot read another student’s applications. Administrative access is restricted to staff accounts. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, and we ask you not to send us sensitive information we do not need (for example financial account numbers or government ID numbers).
8. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, send you a copy, or stop using it for marketing. Email contact@fatwalletsales.com from the address on your account and we will respond within 45 days.
If you live in California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you have those state rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, opting out of sale or targeted advertising, and appealing a refusal), and we will honour them regardless of where you live. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising other than the Meta pixel described above, and you may opt out of that by emailing us or using your device and Meta ad settings. We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If we deny a request you may appeal by replying to our decision, and you may contact your state attorney general.
Note that some information cannot be pulled back: once an application has been sent to an employer at your direction, that employer holds their own copy and you would need to contact them directly.
9. Children
The service is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, as set out in our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
10. International visitors
We operate from the United States and store data on servers in the United States. If you use the service from another country, you understand your information is processed in the United States under this policy.
11. Changes and contact
If we change this policy we update the “Last updated” date above, and we tell active students by email when a change is material. Questions, requests or complaints: contact@fatwalletsales.com.
